283 Egyptians return from Libya over past 24 hours

MARSA MATROUH, Egypt - 13 July 2017: As many as 283 Egyptians returned home from Libya via Salloum border crossing in the past 24 hours, Matrouh Security Chief Mokhtar el Senbary said.

Out of the returnees, 330 Egyptians entered the country legally and 53 illegally, he noted in statements on Thursday.

Travel procedures of 749 people - 262 Egyptians and 487 Libyans - to Libya have been finalized.

Meanwhile, 70 trucks laden with foodstuffs, construction materials and marble left the crossing to Libya, he said.

Senbary also noted that 85 empty trucks arrived to be loaded with Egyptian commodities.
