CAIRO – 7 July 2017: Dar al-Iftaa, Egypt’s official body authorized to issue religious edicts, mourned on Friday the soldiers who were killed in the terror attack on an army checkpoint in North Sinai.

In their speech, Dar al-Iftaa hailed successful and successive strikes of military and army forces against militants and extremists.

Dar al-Iftaa called the military to intensify their successful strikes against terrorist groups and to work on spreading security and stability in the country.

Twenty six soldiers were killed and injured in a suicide bombing attack on an army checkpoint in Northern Sinai Friday morning, security sources said.

This attack took place in light of Egypt and other Gulf countries launching a campaign against Qatar for allegedly backing terrorism.
