U.S. Embassy in Cairo condemns terror attack in North Sinai

CAIRO – 7 July 2017: The U.S. Embassy in Cairo condemned on Friday the terror attack on an army checkpoint in North Sinai, which resulted in killing and injuring of 26 Egyptian soldiers.

“Another outrageous terror attack in Egypt. The United States stands with Egypt against terrorism. #USSupportForEgypt,” according to the Embassy’s official Twitter account.




Twenty six soldiers were killed and wounded in a suicide bombing attack on an army checkpoint in northern Sinai, security sources said.

This attack took place under the light of Egypt and other Gulf countries have launched campaign against Qatar for allegedly backing terrorism.
