TRIPOLI, July 6 (MENA) - Libya’s Interim Government led by Prime Minister Abdullah Al Thani congratulated on Thursday the Libyan people on the liberation of Benghazi city from terrorist groups.

The victory has been achieved by faithful Libyan Armed Forces backed by Libyan youth under the leadership of Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Khalifa Hafter, according to a statement by the government.

The statement said this victory marks another step on the way to liberate the whole country from terrorist groups, calling on citizens to support the Armed Forces and leadership of the country.

Yesterday, commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalifa Hafter declared full liberation of Benghazi from terrorist groups after three years of fierce fighting since launching his "Operation Dignity" in May 2014.
