CAIRO - 22 May 2020: Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Manar Enba said Thursday that 135 exceptional flights were operated to bring 24,750 nationals stranded abroad during the period from March 20 until May 21.

The flights operated by the national carriers of EgyptAir and Air Cairo under the State's efforts to take urgent steps to meet the demands of Egyptians stranded in several capitals worldwide amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Enba stressed that the ministry spares no efforts to serve all citizens and ensure their return easily and safely with the provision of all facilitations and required medical care.

All the precautionary measures recommended by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization have been adopted during the operation of these exceptional flights, the minister added.
