CAIRO, Feb 29 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli met on Saturday a group of investors in the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada.

The meeting took place on the fringe of the premier's visit to the Red Sea governorate to inspect a number of service and development projects.

The ministers of tourism and antiquities, public business sector and civil aviation attended the meeting along the secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities and Red Sea Governor Maj. Gen. Amr Hanafi.

Madbouli asserted his keenness on listening to the problems facing investors in the tourism industry to embark on any measures necessary for speeding up the development process in this vital sector.

He noted the merger of the ministries of tourism and antiquities has been highly beneficial on that score, as it would help achieve harmony between entertainment and cultural tourism.

The formation of a ministerial committee for tourism and antiquities also had its positive effect in this regard, the premier added.

Meanwhile, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani said that the committee is set to convene on Sunday to discuss a raft of tourism-related issues.

Executive Director of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab and a host of senior officials from the Red Sea governorate were also in attendance.
