CAIRO – 8 January 2019: EgyptAir Airlines will receive its first A320neo as part of the Dubai Airshow deal signed in 2017.

Jetphotos website published a photo of Egypt's first Airbus A320-251N. However, no specific date was mentioned for the arrival of the new Airbus.

In December 2019, EgyptAir announced it will increase the number of flights to several destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Middle East during the summer of 2020." The move comes within the framework of the company's efforts to enhance its services," said Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines Ashraf el-Kholy in a statement.

The flights of the flagship carrier to Washington are scheduled to increase from three to four flights per week, while the number of flights to Toronto will be seven instead of six, according to MENA. Additionally, the number of flights heading to Europe will go up from 14 to 21 flights weekly.

In August 2019, EgyptAir received its sixth and last Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, as part of a deal to purchase six jets of the same model.

In a statement, the national flagship carrier said members of its technical delegation, who were on a visit to the American city of Seattle, has revised all agreed measures and specifications for the plane. The delegation members also paid a visit to the world's largest aircraft factory, Boeing Everett, to see for themselves all the steps taken by the facility in the process of manufacturing planes.

Meanwhile, Boeing representatives said they are looking forward to further cooperation with EgyptAir.
