CAIRO – 3 December 2019: Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism is participating for the first time in the annual International Charity Bazaar, held at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, according to an official statement released Monday.

The Annual Bazaar is organized by the United Nations Women's Guild in cooperation with the Permanent Missions of the United Nations in Geneva. The bazaar aims to finance several projects for children in developing countries. Last year, it funded nearly 60 projects for children, including two in Egypt.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt was chosen to head this year’s bazaar, where more than 70 countries are participating.

For her part, Tourism Minister Rania al-Mashat pointed out the importance of the ministry's participation in this event within the framework of the ministry's efforts to represent Egypt in important international forums and events. This bazaar is one of the most important events held at the United Nations every year.
