CAIRO, Nov 9 (MENA) - EgyptAir Cargo received the third Airbus A330-200 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) converted aircraft, which has just arrived at Cairo International Airport from Germany.

The move falls within the framework of a plan adopted by the Civil Aviation Ministry and EgyptAir Holding Company to upgrade the company's fleet of passenger and cargo aircraft, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Cargo Bassem Mohamed Gohar said Saturday in a statement.

The company is currently working for expanding its outreach to new markets in Africa, GCC and European countries, he added.

EgyptAir Cargo has recently has taken delivery of two Airbus A330-200 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) converted aircraft from Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW).

The delivery came after the successful completion of test flights in June and awarding of the Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) in July, said the company on its official website.

Each of the converted plane carries up to 61 metric tonnes.
