CAIRO - 10 October 2019: Egyptian Ambassador in Rome Hisham Badr has expected an increase in the number of Italian tourists coming to Egypt over the coming period.

During his inauguration on Thursday of the Egyptian pavilion at the 2019 TTG Incontri exhibition in the Italian city of Rimini, Badr said that great efforts are being made to raise the number of flights between Egypt and Italy, as well as the re-launch of cruises.

He added that the Egyptian pavilion saw a high turnout from exhibitors and Italian and international tourism federations, which reflects the great passion of Italians for visiting different Egyptian tourist attractions.

TTG Incontri is an international tourism event for B2B exhibition. The event provides an opportunity for several tourism federations, tour operators and travel agencies to discuss ways to move the industry forward.

Badr said the Egyptian embassy in Rome has been making significant efforts to promote the Egyptian tourism product, citing the Egyptian cultural exhibition that lasted for six months in the Italian city of Viterbo, in addition to establishing partnerships with a group of Italian channels to broadcast episodes about the ancient Egyptian civilization.
