CAIRO – 7 September 2019: The Tourism Ministry received famous Chinese chef Hu Zhixia, who teaches cooking in a major Chinese institute, to train Egyptian chefs in Hurghada hotels on Chinese cooking.

The Thursday visit comes in agreement with the Chinese embassy in Cairo, as part of the cooperation between Egypt and China in the field of training tourism staff.

The training will last for give days in Hurghada, and the experience will be repeated in Luxor, Aswan and Sharm el-Sheikh.

The availability of Chinese food in Egyptian hotels will attract more Asian tourists, a part of the world that Egypt is seeking to attract into its tourist destinations, Soha Bahgat, advisor to the tourism minister, said.

Bahgat added that the Chinese embassy also provided 25 Egyptian tourism staff with scholarships to study and train on hotels and hospitality.
