ASWAN, Egypt, July 16 (MENA) - Aswan Governor Ahmed Ibrahim said that coordination is underway with the Ministry of Tourism to turn the Temple of Philea area into an open tourist attraction for different kinds of tourism.

The governor spoke on Tuesday during his tour of Philea Temple area and several streets in the governorate to follow up the renovation work.

The new vision depends on making use of the mountainous areas with the aim of developing the surroundings of the Temple of Philea and setting up a hotel in accordance with the Nubian architectural style in addition to bazaars and cafeterias, Ibrahim said.

A museum will be established in the area to show the story of the Philea Temple so as to provide tourists with all needed archaeological information, Ibrahim added.

He called for achieving traffic control and ensuring that drivers are abiding by the new transportation fare.
