CAIRO - 5 July 2019: An online page affiliated to the Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA) posted a promotional film entitled “Experience Egypt” showing the famous streets and ancient buildings of downtown the Egyptian capital and the Khedival Cairo.

The film was produced as a part of ETA's efforts to develop promotion mechanisms and expand in using social media platforms in line with the third part of Egypt's Tourism Reform Program.

In the film, Tourism Minister Rania el Mashat was pictured speaking about downtown Cairo describing it as part of the nation's valuable historical treasures and one of the most famous areas in the Middle East region.

While looking up to the ancient buildings in the streets and districts in the heart of Cairo, passersby can go back in time and remember many old Egyptian movies filmed there, Mashat said.

Many people from all around the world come to specific places in Khedival Cairo because they read about them in books or watched them in old classic Egyptian movies, the minister pointed out.

She expressed her appreciation for all efforts exerted to develop the area to restore its old luster and beauty and revive its legacy.
