Mashat: We seek to open new tourist markets in Egypt

CAIRO, July 25 (MENA) - Minister of Tourism Rania al Mashat said Tuesday her ministry focuses on promoting training and developing hotel classification standards to encourage competitiveness and diversify tourist markets to lure more foreign tourists.

In statements to SkyNews Arabic, she said the tourism sector contributes to GDP by more than 15 percent.

Asked about opening new markets, the minister expressed hope for opening new tourist markets especially China's as the future plan focuses on bringing more tourists from China.
