Egypt launches tourism campaign in Arab market

CAIRO - 6 June 2019: The Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority launched Monday a promotion campaign in the Gulf States, as the Arab market accounts for 30 percent of tourist arrivals in Egypt.

The promotion campaign includes huge outdoor banners in the UAE and Saudi Arabia which work in parallel with an online campaign targeting the public via social media platforms as on Snapchat, Google, YouTube and Facebook in addition to video-sharing platforms like Dailymotion.

For his part, Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for the Promotion of Tourism Ahmed Yousef pointed to the importance of the Arab countries as a major market for incoming tourism to Egypt.

Yousef stressed the importance of benefiting from the opportunity of gathering Arab families during the holy month of Ramadan which is an ideal chance to display the rich diversity of different tourist patterns in Egypt.

The Gulf News, one of the most important English-language newspapers in the UAE, clarified that tourism companies in the United Arab Emirates said that Egypt ranked first in the list of destinations to which UAE tourists will go for Eid al Fitr.
