CAIRO - 20 May 2019: Egypt's Minister of Tourism, Rania al-Mashat, escorted on Sunday a group of South African tourists to Giza Pyramids, reported the Ministry's media office.

The tourists were targeted earlier today by an explosion at Al Remaya district in Giza governorate

Al-Mashat visited the hospital where the tourists were checked to be treated from minor injuries due to the explosion, escorted a group of them to visit the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx.





The tourists received a brief on the history of the monuments from the director of Giza Pyramids area. The minister was keen to escort the tourists to their hotel where she met the South African ambassador to Egypt.

An explosion has targeted a bus carrying 25 tourists from South Africa and a private car carrying four civilians in Al Remaya area, Giza.

Injured people were reported; they suffered minors injures due to shattered glass of bus windows.
