CAIRO, 17 March 2019: First Secretary at the Embassy of India in Cairo Vinod Bahade asserted the importance of boosting cooperation with Egypt in the sector of tourism.

This came in Bahade's word during the inauguration of a tourism promotion seminar on Sunday under the rubric "know India" which is organized by the Indian Embassy in Egypt in cooperation with the Indian Tourism Office in Dubai.

Representatives of travel agencies and tourist operators from India and Egypt along with officials from the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism attended the seminar which addressed cooperation opportunities.

India and Egypt boast great ancient civilizations and their great variety of tourist attractions and magnificent historical landmarks are a magnet to tourists from all over the world, Bahade said.

Meanwhile, tourism minister's adviser Nora Salem said that the Ministry of Tourism is proud of the strong ties with India.
