CAIRO – 15 October 2017: Egyptian squash player Ramy Ashour will promote Egypt’s tourist destinations, head of the Egyptian Tourist Authority Hisham El Dameery told local media on Sunday.

The authority’s slogan for the promotion campaign will be on Ashour’s sportswear during international tournaments, Dameery added.

A press conference will be held on Tuesday to announce more details.

“Egypt is full of many champions and celebrities… they represent the best of Egypt in every field,” Dameery said.

Ashour participated in nearly 15 competitions around the world. He plays roughly five to seven matches annually, Dameery noted; adding that the squash player expressed his willingness to participate with the Egyptian delegations in world tourist exhibitions to promote Egypt.

The 30-year-old player was named the Junior World Champion in 2004 and 2006.
