YINCHUAN, China - 4 Sep 2017: Egyptian Tourism Authority and Tourism Development Committee of China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding on promoting tourism cooperation.

The MoU that have been signed with Ningxia in Yinchuan, the capital city of northwest China's Ningxia on tourism cooperation, aims at accelerating the economic development and enhancing relations between the two countries.

Both sides agreed to support activities aiming at promoting tourism in addition to linking their official websites together.

According to the memo, they will work on promoting their touristic resources, products as well as tourism projects and festivals via social media.

As well, they agreed on the necessity of exchanging visits by tourism officials, experts, journalists and media representatives of the two countries in addition to exchanging tourist information, promoting materials, booklets and statistics.

The deal was inked by Egypt's tourist consultant in China Abo ElMaati Shaarawi on the sideline of the China-Arab States Expo. 2017 held on Sept. 6-9 in the northeastern Chinese city of Yinchuan.

The expo was attended by Adel el Masry, the head of domestic tourism at the Egyptian Tourism Authority in addition to the Egyptian delegation members including a number of senior tourism officials.
