CAIRO – 4 September 2017: Negotiations between the Ministries of Civil Aviation of Egypt and China are underway to increase flights between Beijing and Cairo in the wake of 2017 China-Arab States Tour Conference held on Monday, according Egypt's Minister of Tourism Yehia Rashed.

Rashed has praised in a speech delivered on his behalf by the Director of Egypt Tourism Authority Adel El Masry during the conference the positive results of the joint cooperation between Egypt and China in different fields such as tourism especially after President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi had visited China for the first time in 2014.

Egypt has taken several steps to facilitate the entry visa to Egypt for Chinese people, he added.

He has expressed his hope for further cooperation between Egypt and China to promote the tourist exchange.

The 2017 China-Arab States Tour Conference under the theme of going to beautiful China, walking on the charming Silk Road and enjoying wonderful Ningxia, China was held in Yinchuan on September 4, 2017. It planned to launch initiatives of mutual cooperation, customers exchange and information sharing with countries and areas attending the conference alongside with promoting tourism resources of Egypt.

Egypt, represented in the Tourism Development Authority, is also participating in the 2017 China-Arab States Expo as a guest of honor.

The expo will be held from September 6 - 9, 2017 in Ningxia, China and will be attended by foreign and Arab delegations to promote business relations between China and Arab states in line with the development of "One Belt and One Road" initiative. Egypt is participating with a 120-square meter pavilion that will include 15 hotels and tourist companies.
