CAIRO-4 March 2021: Zamalek will undergo a COVID-19 test on Thursday ahead of the team’s clash with Tunisian giants, Esperance, in the CAF Champions League group stage.

The team’s delegation arrived on Wednesday night to Tunisia on a private plane and they are set to have their first training session on Thursday afternoon.

The White Knights aim to achieve a good result and improve their situation in the group as they achieved only two points after two matches.

Zamalek enter the match with high spirits as they managed to win the 2019 CAF Super Cup after defeating Esperance 3-1.

Also, Zamalek knocked Esperance out of the CAF Champions League last season after defeating them in the last season’s quarter-finals.

The White Knights failed to achieve the CAF Champions League title since 2002 and they hope to put an end to this winless run in the competition after reaching the final last season and losing to arch-rivals, Al Ahly.
