CAIRO-12 February 2021: Al Ahly Tunisian defender Ali Maaloul stated that the team will fight to win the CAF Super Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup titles to complete the historic season.
Al Ahly will face RS Berkane of Morocco in the CAF Super Cup final while they will face arch-rivals Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup final.
"We have to concentrate now on winning the CAF Super Cup, Egyptian Super Cup." Maaloul said on Friday.
Al Ahly completed a historic treble last season after winning the domestic league, the domestic cup and the CAF Champions League title.
The Red Devils also secured the bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Brazil's Palmeiras in the third-place playoff on Thursday night.
Maaloul added "Winning the bronze medal of the FIFA Club World Cup is a great achievement that will be added to the history of this current generation. Al Ahly’s spirit, character, and the determination of the players are the secret behind that success.”
The Tunisian defender did not participate in the match against Palmeiras after suffering an injury in the semi-final against Bayern Munich.
