CAIRO – 3 July 2017: The Ministry of Youth and Sports released an official statement on July 2 regarding the upcoming Arabian Friendly Cup.

“The Minister of Youth and Sports Khalid Abdel Aziz met with president of the Egyptian Football Association Hany Abo Rida and the vice president of the Arabian Federation and the head of the organizing committee Mohamed Rouraoua,” the statement said. The meeting was held “in order to look over the preparations for the upcoming Arab Club Championship that will be hosted in Egypt and is expected to be held from July 22 to August 5.”

“Abdel Aziz is sure that Egypt’s role in hosting the tournament will increase its tourism and increase its relation with the Arab countries,” the statement added.

The following clubs are expected to participate in the tournament: Al Ahly SC (Egypt), Zamalek SC (Egypt), El Wehda (Emirates), Nasr Hussein Dai ( Algeria), El Faisly (Jordan), El Nasr and Helal SC from Saudi, El Fatah El Rabati from Morocco and El Ahed from Lebanon, Al Merrikh and El Helal from Sudan, Esperance from Tunis, and Naft from Iraq.
