CAIRO-30 January 2021: Spain head coach Jordi Ribera believes that his team did everything to secure a spot in the World Cup final but they did not have enough luck to defeat Denmark in the semis.

“It was very difficult match and they have very good players in defence. In the second half we had some opportunities, we tried to go further but Denmark were tough." Ribera said after the match.

The Spaniards finished the first half behind by two goals but they fought back in the second half and put on a solid performance against the title holders. However, the Danish players’ experience helped them secure the victory.

Ribera added “We had some opportunities, we used some and missed some and there was a sort of unluck to score more. They stood strong for the last minute of the game and now they need to focus on the next match,"

Spain will meet France in the third place game and the Spanish managed said that his team’s target is to finish the tournament in the third place.
