CAIRO- 17 January 2021: Roberto Garcia Parrondo, Egypt's head coach, expressed his happiness with his side managing to progress to the main round with a game to spare.

Egypt smashed North Macedonia on Saturday night at Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex with 38-19 scoreline.

"I'm extremely happy with the huge win. All my players did what was asked of them and we will start preparing to face the difficult challenge of Sweden in the next match." Parrondo said after the match.

The victory sent the Pharaohs to the top of the group table, which Egypt shares with Sweden.

"I have 24 players, I can choose any of them. Not having Islam Hassan around doesn't change that."

Egypt faces Sweden on Monday night at Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex.

Egypt hosts the competition between 13 and 31 January 2021, with the participation of 32 teams for the first time in the competition's history.
