Al Ahly reach Egypt's Cup Final after beating Ittihad Alexandria 2-1

CAIRO, 2 December 2020: Al-Ahly overturned their defeat against Al-Ittihad of Alexandria to a 2-1 win in the semi-finals of the 2019/2020 Egypt Cup.
 
Al-Ahly qualified for the Egyptian Cup final, to face Al-Tale'aa Al-Jaish, who overcame Zamalek 3-1.
 
The match will be held next Saturday at Cairo International Stadium.
 
Al-Ittihad advanced through Razak Cisse, before Al-Ahly scored a double through Mohamed Magdy "Afsha" and Hamdi Fathy.
 
 
Al-Ahly started the match in the same formation as the CAF Champions League final, with the exception of Geraldo, who took part instead of Junior Ajay.
 

Al Ahly won the Egyptian League for the 42nd times, seven game weeks before its end. Also, the red giants defeated Zamalek in the CAF Final of Century to bring the ninth title after an absence since 2013.

Celebrations didn’t stop since Mohamed Magdy Afsha decisive goal which made him the protagonist for Al Ahly fans.

To achieve the treble, Al Ahly had to defeat Hossam Hassan’s team, Al Ahly & Egyptian national team legend.

Hossam Hassan took over the manager position in Ittihad of Alexandria after the resigning of Talaat Youssef who built a strong team for the North coast sons.
