CAIRO – 30 June 2017: Ramy Abbas, Mohamed Salah’s agent, stated that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected Fiorentina’s appeal regarding Liverpool’s current player Mohamed Salah.

Abbas posted on his official twitter account, “Received the decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport...”
It was followed by another tweet saying, “Congratulations again Mohamed Salah. You deserve to embark upon your new adventure clear-headed, and without any frivolous suits against you.”
On the grounds of a contract breach, Italian Club Fiorentina filed a complaint with FIFA against Mohamed Salah and his former club Chelsea when the winger joined Roma on loan for the 2015-2016 season.

Chelsea sent Salah on a six month loan to Fiorentina for the 2014-2015 season with an agreed upon date to respond on whether or not Salah would extend his stay with Fiorentina. However, the Egyptian player did not answer on the specified date which made Fiorentina think he agreed to extend the loan.
After the time with Fiorentina, the 25-year-old was sent on loan to Roma, sparking the Tuscans to submit a complaint with FIFA regarding Chelsea’s misuse of their contract with Salah.

In June 2016 FIFA announced that they rejected Fiorentina’s claim against Chelsea and Salah. Seeking further justice, they filed for an appeal with CAS.
The Fiorentina appeal was later rejected on June 29, 2017, according to the twitter account of Salah’s agent.
