CAIRO-17 September 2020: Bayern Munich manager Hans-Dieter Flick revealed on Thursday that the Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara is leaving Bayern Munich, with Liverpool his most likely destination.
"Thiago is an exceptional player who spent seven hugely successful years here. He's a wonderful person and an outstanding professional." Flick told press on Thursday.
The Spaniard was sensational in Bayern Munich's run to win the 2020 UEFA Champions League title.
The manager added "It was very emotional today when he said goodbye to us all."
Many reports have linked the Spaniard with a move to the Premier League champions Liverpool and it seems that the deal is already done between Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
According to reliable transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool will pay Bayern Munich €30m to sign the player, who will sign his contract as new Liverpool player until June 2024.
