CAIRO-29 August 2020: Premier League champions Liverpool return to action on Saturday night when they face FA Cup winners Arsenal in the FA Community Shield at Wembley stadium.

The Reds aim to open the new season with a win and achieve the FA Community Shield award for the first time since 2006.

The last Community Shield game played between the two teams came in 2002 when Arsenal defeated Liverpool 1_0 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp revealed that he is taking Community Shield clash with Arsenal seriously.

The German manager said "We don't have friendlies, we have testing games. It's a competition and it's rare you have perfect time to prepare for a game."

On the other hand, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to kick off the new season with silverware after finishing the last season with FA Cup title.

Arteta led his team to defeat Manchester City and Chelsea in their route to win the FA Cup title and he hopes to achieve the victory over Liverpool to gain more confidence ahead of the season.

The game starts on 5:30 pm.
