CAIRO, 8 June 2020: The Tunisian newspaper (Al-Sareeh) revealed the future of Ali Maaloul, Al-Ahly’s right-back, during the next summer transfer period.

Al-Sareeh claimed, according to its own sources, that Maaloul decided to reject any negotiations regarding Gulf offers; especially from the United Arab Emirates.

Maaloul prefers to continue his career with Al-Ahly, and his relationship with the fans made him reject all temptations, according to Tunisian newspaper sources.

The Tunisian newspaper, Al-Shorouk, had previously claimed the Al Ain club made an offer to include Maaloul.

However, Majed Owais, a member in Al Ain’s board, spoke to deny his club’s thinking of including Maaloul.

Saudi Arabian giants, Al Hilal, also previously denied negotiations with Al Ahly over the team Tunisian defender, Ali Maaloul.

A representative from the Saudi club told Saudi news outlet Asharq Al-Awsat that the club have no interest in signing the player.

Maaloul, 30, established himself as one of the key players in the Red Devils' squad since he joined the club in 2016 from his childhood club, Club Sportif Sfaxien.

Maaloul has said in different occasions that he wants to end his career in Al Ahly and he dreams of winning many titles with the African Club of the Century.

The player produced his best performance last season as he scored many decisive goals, including the winning goal against Zamalek at Cairo Derby, to lead Al Ahly to clinch the league title.

Maaloul and his teammates sees winning the CAF Champions League title as a priority for the club.

Al Ahly secured a spot at the competition's semi-finals after defeating South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns 3_1 on aggregate, with Maaloul scoring the team's three goals in the tie.
