Klopp picks Messi over Ronaldo in debate over the better

CAIRO_14 May 2020: Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, believes that Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, is a better player than Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo.

"We've played against both already and both are almost impossible to defend. But Messi has much lower physical requirements from birth on." Klopp said.

Klopp enjoyed one of his best moments in football against Lionel Messi in 2019 UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Messi produced one of his best performances and led Barcelona to win the first leg 3_0 but Klopp's boys won the tie after a memorable comeback in Liverpool.

Klopp continued "Messi makes everything look so simple and therefore I like him maybe a little bit more as a player on the pitch. But Cristiano is also an absolutely incredible player."

The two players have had one of the greatest individual rivalries football has ever seen and this rivalry has pushed both players to unprecedented levels of performance during the last 15 years.
