CAIRO – 5 March 2020: Liverpool legend, Steve McManaman, believes that Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, will reject European giants’ offers and he will stay with the Reds.

“I see his future at Liverpool to be honest. Regarding this whole aura about Real Madrid and Barcelona, I think players are consistently linked with them because they were both considered the best sides in the world back in the day. The best sides are now in the Premier League.” McManaman said on Thursday.

Since Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 summer, he has been linked with a move to both Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

McManaman added “The best teams in Europe now are in England, so I don't understand the premise of why you need to go to LaLiga at the minute."

Salah led Liverpool to win UEFA Champions League title last season, having scored the opening goal against Tottenham Hotspur at the final in Madrid, which ended with a 2-0 win for the Reds.

Salah won two consecutive golden boot awards and he is one of the main contenders to win the award this year, having scored 15 goals, only two goals behind Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy who lead the list.
