Messi super hat-trick sends Barcelona top

CAIRO-22 February 2020: Lionel Messi shined during Barcelona clash against Eibar on Saturday at the Spanish League as he led the Catalans to a 5_0 win.

Messi scored three goals at the first 30 minutes of the first half to secure a 3_0 lead for Barcelona at the first half.

Messi added his fourth goal at the second half and the fifth goal was scored by Barcelona Brazilian midfielder Arthur minutes before the final whistle.

Barcelona are on top of the league with two points ahead of Real Madrid who face Levante at home on Saturday night.

Barcelona manager, Quique Setién, gave the team new signing, Martin Braithwaite, the chance to introduce himself to the fans at the last 20 minutes of the game and he was behind his team's two goals at the second half.

Barcelona will face Napoli in Italy on Tuesday at the first leg of UEFA Champions League round of 16 and they will return to Spain to prepare for el clasico, scheduled on Sunday 1 March in Madrid.
