CAIRO – 21 February 2020: Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, revealed on Friday that he will support the team captain, Sergio Ramos, if he decides to join the Spanish national team at 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo this summer.

“Of course he should go if he wants to, I will support him. It's very beautiful to play for your country and especially for a player like him who has done what he has done in his career." Zidane said on Friday.

Spain, led by Luis de la Fuente, qualified for the tournament after winning 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship title.

Ramos, who turns 34 before the Olympics, aim to be one of the three over-aged players who will join La Roja at the Olympic Games.

The Spanish national team captain is one of the most decorated players in the country’s history, having won two European Cup titles in 2008 and 2012 as well as winning the nation’s only World Cup title in 2010.
