Eric Abidal, FC Barcelona’s sporting director, believes that Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain’s winger, would improve the Spanish side if he rejoins Barcelona in the summer.

In an interview with the Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo published on Saturday, Abidal shared the same opinion with that of Quique Setien, FC Barcelona’s manager, that Neymar would boost the performance of the Cataln giants.

"I totally agree. Setien would be proud to be able to coach a player like Neymar and the others here who are of such a high level," said Abidal, according to Goal.

However, Abidal believes that Neymar’s return to FC Barcelona won’t be an easy decision since it would be affecting the minutes that Ansu Fati, FC Barcelona youngster, will be getting in the future.

"That's why planning is not so easy. We may wish to have all the best players, but we can't make a mistake in the development of players,” added Abidal, reporting from Goal.

The Brazilian winger witnessed some of his best years at Barcelona from 2013 to 2017 winning several domestic titles as well as winning UEFA Champions League title in 2015 before joining PSG with a record fee of 222 million Euros.

Also, It is worth mentioning that the Brazilian International [Neymar] managed to score 241 goals and provide 150 assists in 396 games played with Santos FC, FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, according to transfermarkt.
