CAIRO – 18 June 2017: USAM Nimes has agreed on a deal to sign Egyptian national handball team player Mohamed Sanad after his contract with Spanish club La Rioja ended.

Some officials of the Nimes board were in advanced talks with Sanad over the past few weeks in order to convince him to sign with the club, as reported by Youm7.

In addition, Sanad’s former team Zamalek were reportedly in talks with him as they were looking to strengthen their squad for next season.

However, the right-wing player rejected Zamalek’s approach in order to continue his dream of playing handball at Europe.

Mohamed Sanad started his career at Heliopolis SC before moved to several clubs like Zamalek SC and La Rioja before joining Nimes.

Sanad managed to win the 2016 African Men’s Handball Championship held in Egypt before participating in 2016 Summer Olympics that was held in Brazil.
