CAIRO - 8 October 2019: Al Ahly defender Mahmoud Metwally begins a new phase in the rehabilitation program under the supervision of Tarek Abdel Aziz, a rehabilitation specialist.

Metwally suffered a torn muscle in his back muscle during his participation with Al Ahly in the Super Cup meeting against Zamalek.

Metwally underwent a medical check-up before the start of training session of Al Ahly on Sunday to check on his condition and to determine the extent of his injury.
Another wonderful game for Al-Ahly at the Egyptian league and it seems that nothing can stop Al-Ahly winning run even playing 870 km away from the capital or the hot weather.

Tاe red devils defeated Aswan 5-1 after another wonderful performance which proves the amazing work of Al-Ahly new manager Rene Weiler.

Al-Ahly needed just four minutes to open the score which became a good habit from Al-Ahly players at the new season. Junior Ajayi who rediscovered himself at the centre forward position opened the score after a wonderful cross from Al-Ahly best signing of the summer, Mohamed Magdy Afsha.

Al-Ahly added the second goal by Hussein El Shahat who followed Hamdy Fathy’s shot which Aswan goalkeeper, Mossad Awad, failed to control.

In the second half, Afsha’s crosses did not stop and he granted Hamdy Fathu another wonderful cross and he did not find any difficulty to add the third goal.

Afsha’s perfect performance continued and he won a penalty and converted it to make the score 4-0.

Aswan’s only goal at the game came through Oumed Oukri who followed a wonderful cross from the left wing that gave him the chance to score his team’s goal.

Al-Ahly’s fifth goal came minutes later from a solo amazing skill from Ramadan Sobhy.

Al-Ahly achieved a perfect start at the league with three victories and they are leading the league with 9 points.
