CAIRO – 19 September 2019: Liverpool defender, Virgil Van Dijk, revealed on Thursday that his teammates have to put their loss against Napoli behind and focus on the clash against Chelsea on Sunday.

Liverpool suffered a 2-0 loss on Tuesday night at UEFA Champions League opening game of the season after conceding two goals at the last 10 minutes.

“It felt like it was going to be a draw. There were some moments from us on the break where we could have done a bit better but the penalty changed it and we come home with no points.” Van Dijk said.

Napoli’s loss put an end to Liverpool amazing start of the season as the club won five games in a row at the League.

Van Dijk added “Yes, but I think everyone wants to beat us no matter what competition. That’s something we have to deal with but it’s not going to be a problem at all.”

Liverpool are expecting another tough clash on Sunday when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Dutch continued “For us to lose our first game is obviously not what we wanted but the only thing we can do is try to win all the other games and now focus on Chelsea.”

Liverpool are leading the Premier League table with 15 points, five points ahead of the second placed, Manchester City.
