CAIRO – 5 September 2019: Former Egypt international, Bassem Morsy, signed a two-year contract on Wednesday with the Egyptian top division club, Al Inttag Al Harby.

The striker returned to his old team where he had a great time at the top tier of the Egyptian football.

Morsy started his career with Petrojet who sold him to Al Inttag in 2013.

Bassem took the Egyptian league by storm at his debut season with Al Inttag and his performance attracted the biggest two clubs in Egypt, Al-Ahly and Zamalek.

Morsy is a die-hard Zamalek fan and he decided to follow his heart and join the Whites.

Morsy was Zamalek fans’ hero as he led the club to win the Egyptian League for the first time in almost a decade.

He also played a vital role in the club’s campaign to win back-to-back cup titles.

Morsy’s performance with Zamalek earned him a starting position at the national team squad, preparing for 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon. However, he was excluded from the team by Hector Cuper, the national team manager at the time, for behavioral reasons.

Since then, Morsy’s career had many setbacks and he hopes that his return to Al Inttag will help him regain his best form.
