CAIRO – 1 August 2019: Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, does not rule out the participation of the team’s duo, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, against Manchester City on Sunday.

Both teams meet at the Community Shield at Wembley.

“Mo is naturally fit and he can sprint all day, which us helps of course, It opens up the pitch, you can play much more football - not always between the lines. If you from time-to-time chip the ball in behind the line, then Mo makes these offers which is very important for us.” Klopp said.

Salah and Firmino just returned to the team from African Cup of Nations and Copa America respectively.

Salah has been nominated for FIFA's “The Best” Award for Men’s player of the year alongside Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie De Jong, Kylian Mbappe, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard and Harry Kane.

Salah made the list for the second year in a row after an outstanding season with his club, Liverpool.

The Egyptian winger led his team to win the UEFA Champions League title after defeating Tottenham 2-0 at the final, with the Egyptian scoring the opening goal from the penalty spot.

Salah also won the Premier League Golden Boot Award for the second straight season, having scored 22 goals.

Liverpool failed to win the precious title after finishing the league with one point behind the winners, Manchester City.
