CAIRO - 28 July 2019: Handball Youth Egyptian national team live a state of enthusiasm & joy in their preparation for the game against Portugal.

Egypt face Portugal to decide the Bronze medal winner in the Handball World Championship held in Spain at 02:00 p.m.

The Egyptian team surprised handball fans after they produced a great performance throughout the competition and reached the semi-final unbeaten.

The draw put Egypt against France in the semi-final but the Egyptians lost 35/33 in a very tough game on Saturday.

The Egyptian team appeared at the semi-finals for the sixth time in the history and they hoped to continue their undefeated run at the competition and reach the final for the first time since 1993 when Egypt won the title at home.

The World Cup draw put Egypt in the group of death alongside Sweden, France, South Korea, Nigeria and Australia.

Egypt achieved five wins at the group to reach the second round as group leaders. Tha Pharaohs also defeated Serbia & Norway in their way to the semi-finals.

Egyptian Handball national team squad includes: Abdelrahman Taha, Abdelrahman Hameed, Galal Khorshid, Abdelaziz Ehab, Shehab Abdallah, Hassan Walid, Seif El Deraa, Ahmed Hesham, Ahmed Rady, Hazem Mamdouh, Mohsen Ramadan, Mohamed El Azhary, Omar Khaled, Omar Samy, Khaled Waleed and Yasser Mohamed.
