Cairo_14 July 2019: Tunisia former Captain, Khalid Badra, believes that Tunisia will have a tough battle against Senegal to reach the final.

“They are better than us in all aspects but everything will be decided on the pitch.” Badra said.

Badra was Tunisia's national team captain when they won their only Africa Cup of Nations title in 2004 at home after defeating Morocco 2_1 at the final.

In 2004, Tunisia faced Senegal at the tournament's quarterfinals and won the game 1_0 thanks to Jawhar Mnari's goal.

“We were not the favorites to win the game in 2004 but we were the better side on the pitch and reached the semi_finals,” Badra added.

After a frustrating start at the competition, Tunisia regained their best form at the knockout stage, defeating Ghana and Madagascar respectively to reach the semi-finals.

Tunisian players, led by Zamalek's Ferjani Sassi, aim to continue their run at the competition to win their second title.
