CAIRO, 24 June 2019:The Algerian national football team won a precious victory over Kenya 2-0 on Sunday's match at the "Air Defense" stadium in the first round of Group C of the 2019 African Nations Cup, which is hosted by Egypt until July 19.

Baghdad Bounedjah gave Algeria the lead in the 34th minute from the penalty spot. Manchester City's RiyadMahrez added a second goal for Desert Warriors in the 43rd minute.
In the second half, the result continued to be the same, amid attempts by desert warriors to increase the score, while Kenya sought to reduce the gap.

Algeria & Senegal shares the lead of Group C as Senegal beat Tanazania 2-0 on the same stadium.

The 30 June Stadium is a stadium used mostly for football matches and also sometimes for athletics located in Cairo. It was built by the Egyptian Air Defense Forces. The stadium is the main venue of the Air Defense Sports Village.
