CAIRO – 16 June 2019: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, turned down £150m offers from European giants, Real Madrid, and decided to stay in Liverpool in the next season according to reports from Dailymail.

On the other hand, the player informed the club that he will decide his future at the end of the next season.

Salah led his team to win the UEFA Champions League title this season after defeating their arch rivals, Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at the final.

The Egyptian opened the score after two minutes from the penalty spot while Divock Origi scored Liverpool’s second goal minutes before the final whistle to secure his team’s victory.

After leading his team to UEFA Champions League title, the Egyptian winger returned to Egypt where he spent Eid Al Fitr with his family in Negrig before heading to the Red Sea for a short vacation ahead of the national team participation in 2019 African Cup of Nations.

The Egyptian national team started their preparation camp for the tournament at Borg El Arab stadium on 6 June.

The AFCON starts on June 21 and ends on July 19. The tournament takes place with the participation of 24 teams in six groups for the first time in the history of the African competition.

Egypt plays in Group A alongside the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
