CAIRO – 20 April 2019: Liverpool defeated Porto 4-1 on Wednesday night at UEFA Champions League quarter finals second leg to secure qualification to the semifinals after they achieved a 2-0 victory at the first leg in England.

Liverpool will face Spanish giants, Barcelona,led by their Argentinean star, Lionel Messi, who promised the team fans to win the Champions League trophy this season.

Barcelona defeated Liverpool's arch rivals, Manchester United, 4-0 on aggregation to reach the semi-finals.

Barcelona reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2015 when they won the title at the end defeating Juventus 3-1 at the final.

On the other hand, Liverpool, led by Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, reached the semi-finals for the second year in a row.

The team reached the final last season after they knocked out Roma at the semi-final but they lost the title to Real Madrid.

Camp Nou, Barcelona Stadium, hosts the first leg while the second leg will be played in Liverpool.
