CAIRO – 15 April 2019: Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, revealed on Monday that he was blown away by Mohamed Salah’s strike against Chelsea that secured his team victory.

Salah received the ball 25 yards out and shot the ball that Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, failed to stop.

“It blew me away, I didn’t think anything in that moment but I know I was really happy because I was in line with the ball and maybe I saw first that it would go in.” Klopp told press after the game.

Salah’s extraordinary goal came 142 seconds after his teammate, Sadio Mane’s goal that opened the score in the game.

Klopp added “It was a really outstanding finish and I don’t want to minimise that but I loved the first goal, too. The performance was really good but you need the goals, and we got them.”

Liverpool are leading the League title with 85 points, two points ahead of the defending champions, Manchester City, who still have a postponed game.
