CAIRO – 19 February 2019: El-Dakhlia manager, Alaa Abdel Aal, revealed on Tuesday that he believes in his team's chances to defeat Al-Ahly when they meet on Wednesday night at the Egyptian League.

“When you face the big teams, Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids, it is always tough to gain the three points for many reasons but we hope to defeat Al-Ahly and we will fight to win,” Abdel Aal told Filgoal on Tuesday.

El-Dakhlia achieved a 2-2 draw against Al-Ahly at the first half of the season and they hope to achieve a positive result in Wednesday’s game.

Abdel Aal added, “We will miss many important players against Al-Ahly like Emmanuel Agbettor and Ahmed Makhlouf.”

Agbettor suffered a knee injury during the training sessions while the team winger, Eslam Gaber’s participation is also doubtful.

On the other hand, Al-Ahly hopes to continue their victorious run at the league and close the gap with the table leaders, Zamalek.

Zamalek is leading the Egyptian League table with 51 points from 20 games and they are nine points ahead of Al-Ahly who played 19 games.
