Sports and Youth minister during his visit - FILE
CAIRO –16 February 2018: Youth & Sports minister, Ashraf Sobhy, met on Saturday the organizing committee of 16TH MEN’S MHC Championship.
“16th Men’s Mediterranean Handball Confederation Championship” will take place in Port Said / EGYPT 17th – 24th February 2019.
Sobhy assured the ministry's support for all the games, the Egyptian Association and all the championships that takes places in Egypt.
He also believes that Handball is the second popular game in Egypt, after Football, and he hopes Port Said's people attend all the matches.
There are 12 countries will participate in the championship: France, Turkey, Montenegro, Italy, Romania, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Greece, Saudi Arabia, UAE and the host, Egypt.
Hisham Nasr said that the Egyptian handball federation has been preparing to host the tournament for more than three months, and that the federation has invited three countries out of the Mediterranean area to participate in the tournament: Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Romania.
The Mediterranean Handball Confederation was pleased to announce, in cooperation with the Egyptian Handball Federation , the official logo of the Championship.
