Boutayeb reveals reasons for joining Zamalek

CAIRO- 8 January 2018: Zamalek introduced their new signing, Khaled Boutayeb, to media on Monday afternoon at a press conference held in the club.

The player joined Zamalek for a three-and-a-half year contract from Turkey's Yeni Malatyaspor.

"I am so happy to join Zamalek. I hope to adapt quickly and help me teammates." Boutayeb spoke on Monday.

Boutayeb, 31, is the starting striker for Morocco national team and he played two games against Portugal and Spain during 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Boutayeb added" Zamalek is the biggest team in Africa and they are leading the Egyptian League table. The board are anbitious to win titles which motivated me to sign for Zamalek."

Zamalek are leading the Egyptian League table with 41 points and they hope that Boutayeb help the team to achieve titles.

"We are in negotiations with the player since November. He is an International player with much experience at the French League and he will add a lot to our squad." Amir Mortada Mansour, general supervisor of Zamalek football team, said during the conference.

Boutayeb will be the fourth foreigner player at Zamalek squad beside Hamdy Niguez, Fergani Sassi and Hamid Ahaddad.
