CAIRO – 31 December 2018: Liverpool defender, Virgil Van Dijk, showed his admiration to the performance of Liverpool attacking trio, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

“At the beginning of the season, people were saying they [the front three] didn't click. They're fantastic. You see in this game as well and they can be un defendable. It's scary and I'm happy to see that." Van Dijk told press on Monday.

The attacking trio led Liverpool to defeated Arsenal 5-1 on Saturday night. Liverpool were 1-0 down after only 9 minutes but they returned in the game and defeated Arsenal 5-1 on Saturday night at Anfield thanks to a hat-trick from Firmino and two goals from Salah and Sadio Mane.

Salah reached 13 goals and he is leading the race for Premier League top goal scorer alongside Arsenal’s Aubameyang and Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Van Dijk added “We need to keep doing what we have been doing. There will be setbacks, as there always is in life, but it's how you react and so far we have been doing pretty well.”

Liverpool are leading the Premier League table with 54 points, seven points ahead of the second placed, Manchester City and they will face each other at Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Thursday night.
